Printing and engraving

Most of our items are ready for printing. We can print with "pad printing" up to 4 colors, or full color digital printing. Some (metal) items are also suitable for laser egraving. Text or logo's should be supplied in a vector based format, like Adobe Illustrator (AI) or EPS file. Bitmaps like JPG or BMP are not suitable for printing, the lines on the subject will be grainy when printing is based on a bitmap. See the example below for the difference when the print is based on vector or bitmap based.

padprintPad printing

With pad printing, the ink is being transferred from a cliché (the film) to the printable object by a silicone pad. For most text and logo's, pad printing is the best way. If logo's are more complex or have a lot of colors, full color digital printing might be more suitable. Below is an example of a staple free stapler with a pad printed imprint.

Digital printing

For more complex logo's with a lot of colors or shades, digital printing might be the best option. Digital printing is can be best compared to printing with your regular desktop inkjet printer. Digital printing can be done on the same products as pad printing. The sharpness will be a little less then with pad printing, but the colors may be more complex. Below is an example of a staple free stapler with a digital imprint:

Laser engraving

Most metal items can be engraved with a logo or text by laser engraving. Laser engraving is the practice of using lasers to engrave or mark an object. The technique does not involve tool bits which contact the engraving surface and wear out. This is considered an advantage over alternative engraving technologies where bit heads have to be replaced regularly. Below is an example of a laser engraved metal keyring.
